As Nigeria marks its 65th Independence Anniversary, the National Chairman of the Third Phase Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), Gen. Elaye ThankGod Dollar Slaboh, together with the Executive Council and the entire membership of the programme, has extended warm felicitations to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and the PAP Administrator, Chief Dr. Dennis Otuaro.
In a goodwill message, Gen. Slaboh highlighted that Nigeria’s 65-year journey is not just a celebration of freedom and sovereignty, but also a recognition of the resilience, sacrifices, and unwavering spirit of Nigerians in pursuit of peace, unity, and progress.
He further extended goodwill to High Chief Government Ekpemupolo (Tompolo), Godfrey Pondi, Tari Pondi, Kenstin Pondi, and the ever-amicable Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri, describing them as pillars of peace and development whose dedication to the Niger Delta has continued to inspire hope for generations to come.
According to him, the celebration of Nigeria at 65 is a moment for reflection on the hurdles the nation has faced, the milestones achieved, and the renewed commitment required to build a more prosperous future.
> “As we commemorate 65 years of nationhood, we must acknowledge the remarkable strides made so far, while also reaffirming our determination to unite, grow, and sustain the prosperity of our beloved country. We salute Mr. President, our leaders, and every Nigerian citizen for their sacrifices and commitment to nation-building,” Gen. Slaboh said.
He concluded with prayers for Nigeria, expressing hope that God will continue to bless the country, guide its leaders, and prosper the Niger Delta.
