RICHMAN DAVIDSON APPLAUDS PAP LEADERSHIP AND CALLS FOR UNITY AND PATIENCE.
I wish to use this medium to sincerely appreciate and commend Chief Dr. Dennis Brutu Otuaro, PhD, the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), for his exemplary leadership, vision, and unwavering commitment to the training and empowerment of leaders. His purposeful interventions have significantly contributed to peace, stability, and renewed confidence in the Niger Delta region. Indeed, his leadership has accomplished milestones that no previous coordinator has achieved since the creation of the Amnesty Programme.
I also wish to specially commend Mr. Edgar Biu, the Technical Assistant to the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, for his steadfastness, humility, and tireless dedication. His consistent support and loyalty in assisting the Administrator have played a critical role in the remarkable successes recorded under the current leadership of the Programme.
Furthermore, I respectfully appeal to all beneficiaries and leaders of the Presidential Amnesty Programme to exercise patience and understanding. The Amnesty Administrator has assured stakeholders that additional batches will be accommodated in the early part of next year. In light of this assurance, I urge all leaders to desist from actions capable of distracting the Programme, including unnecessary protests, internal divisions, or any form of pull-him-down syndrome, as such actions do not advance our collective interests.
I also seize this opportunity to express profound gratitude to Mr. President for the wisdom and foresight in appointing Chief Dr. Dennis Brutu Otuaro, PhD, as the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme. This appointment has proven to be timely, impactful, and beneficial to the overall objectives of the Programme.
Finally, we, the leaders and stakeholders of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, reaffirm our unwavering support for the Administrator and align fully with the Renewed Hope Agenda of Mr. President. We stand firmly behind the leadership of the Programme and the Federal Government—come rain or sunshine—in our collective pursuit of peace, development, and sustainable progress in the Niger Delta.
Signed:
Richman Davidson
Assistant National Secretary
