Yenagoa, Bayelsa State — The National Chairman of the Third Phase Presidential Amnesty Programme, Gen. Elaye ThankGod Dollar Slaboh, has extended warm New Year greetings to camp leaders, delegates, and beneficiaries of the programme across the Niger Delta region.
In his New Year message, Gen. Slaboh commended beneficiaries for their discipline, cooperation, and sustained commitment to peace, security, and human capital development, noting that their conduct has contributed significantly to the stability being recorded under the Presidential Amnesty Programme.
He reaffirmed the commitment of the programme’s leadership, under the guidance of the Administrator, Chief Dr. Dennis Brutu Otuaro, to sustaining the core objectives of the Amnesty Programme, particularly empowerment, skills acquisition, capacity building, and economic reintegration of beneficiaries.
According to him, the New Year presents a renewed opportunity for beneficiaries to work on themselves, embrace personal growth, develop new skills, and take full advantage of capacity-building and empowerment initiatives designed to promote self-reliance, productivity, and long-term development in the Niger Delta.
Gen. Slaboh emphasized that meaningful progress begins with individual responsibility, urging camp leaders, delegates, and beneficiaries to remain law-abiding, disciplined, and focused on self-improvement as a pathway to collective advancement.
He further called for unity, peaceful coexistence, and continuous dialogue among stakeholders, stressing that the success of the Presidential Amnesty Programme depends on shared commitment, personal development, and strict adherence to its guiding principles.
The National Chairman assured that the Third Phase Presidential Amnesty Programme, in collaboration with the Office of the Administrator, Chief Dr. Dennis Brutu Otuaro, will continue to align with the vision of the Federal Government toward a peaceful, stable, and prosperous Niger Delta.
He also disclosed that the national leadership will actively engage the Amnesty Programme Board to introduce more innovative, impact-driven programmes focused on skills development, entrepreneurship, and sustainable livelihoods, with the goal of making beneficiaries economically empowered and truly self-reliant.
Gen. Slaboh further assured that he and his national leadership team will continue to prioritize the welfare and wellbeing of delegates, while maintaining constant engagement with the Office of the Administrator to advance the collective interests of beneficiaries across the region.
He concluded by wishing all camp leaders, delegates, beneficiaries, and their families a peaceful, productive, and successful New Year.
