RE: Response to Misleading Publication Shared by Jude Gbaboyor.

We note with concern a publication circulating on Facebook by Jude Gbaboyor, tagging Dr. Ebimini watchman referencing individuals as allegedly sidelined. While freedom of expression is a right, national security and oil infrastructure management must be discussed responsibly, with facts, not sentiment or envy.

Jude Gbaboyor must clarify: the so-called “BOYLOAF” is from EZETU COMMUNITY. EZETU is not an operational host community. There are no PIPELINES passing through the community, no WELLHEADS, and no OIL PLATFORMS located there. The community is widely known for FISHING, and its people are predominantly FISHERFOLK. PIPELINE SURVEILLANCE is a technical, security-driven assignment, not a platform to reward personal or political affiliation. These are matters of capacity, geography, and results, not emotional narratives.

Under President’s leadership, Nigeria’s oil sector has improved, crude theft has reduced, maritime piracy has declined, and security in the Niger Delta has strengthened. These measurable results show that the system is working, and the President is comfortable with those controlling the surveillance framework.

Blaming the DSS, NNPCL, or other security agencies is misleading and shows a lack of understanding of structured national security operations. Decisions are based on intelligence, performance, and national interest, not social media or personal sentiment.

The claim that Bayelsa, Ondo, and other states have been sidelined is inaccurate. Each state has surveillance representatives, and they are performing effectively. Bayelsa already has a coordinator delivering results. No amount of videos, publications, or social media noise can change this reality.

This assignment is not for individuals who cannot deliver. It requires competence, coordination, and measurable results. Inflaming public opinion, making selective claims, or blaming agencies for personal agendas is counterproductive and reflects poorly on those spreading such narratives.

We urge Jude Gbaboyor and others amplifying this story to act responsibly. The public has seen through sentiment-driven claims. Facts must guide discussion over envy, emotion, or personal grudges. National interest must always come before personal alignment, and structured results will continue to define pipeline surveillance operations.
