In a bold move to accelerate digital entrepreneurship and job creation, Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, has officially launched the Bayelsa E-Commerce Entrepreneurship Programme (BEEP 2025) as part of his administration’s broader M-POWER initiative.
The unveiling took place today at the DSP Alamieyeseigha Memorial Banquet Hall in Yenagoa.BEEP 2025 is designed to equip at least 500 micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) with the skills, tools, and knowledge required to thrive in the fast-growing digital economy.
The program targets young entrepreneurs across the state, encouraging innovation and the embrace of technology-driven business models.Bayelsa Government Seals Strategic Partnership with NITDA Governor Diri also disclosed that the state government will collaborate with the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) and other federal agencies to strengthen the program’s impact.
This partnership aims to ensure that Bayelsa-based entrepreneurs can not only operate within the state but also market and sell their goods and services online to a global audience.> “We are going beyond physical trading to digital commerce. This is the way forward,” Governor Diri affirmed.
N740 Million Disbursed to Innovative Entrepreneur in a show of financial commitment, Governor Diri also announced interest-free loans to two Bayelsa-born entrepreneurs with innovative business ideas.Tare Robinson Korumene, CEO of ECO FIP Nigeria Limited, received ₦240 million to scale his company, which uses plantain stems to produce eco-friendly braids.
Winsome Terrier Dan- Adere was granted ₦500 million to expand her venture that converts waste into valuable products, showcasing the administration’s support for sustainable and environmentally conscious business models.Commendation for Innovation and Creativity governor Diri used the opportunity to praise his Special Adviser on Investment, Mrs. Owanari Harry, for spearheading the project with vision and innovation.

That is how we can move forward as a state,” Diri said.He urged Bayelsa youths to take full advantage of BEEP 2025, calling on them to embrace innovation and digital tools as a pathway to self-reliance and economic freedom.
