Troops of Operation Hadin Kai, in collaboration with the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), have recorded another major breakthrough in the fight against insurgency.
According to a report by Daily Post on Monday, August 18, 2025, soldiers on patrol recovered three AK-47 rifles and five magazines during a special operation along the Mafa border corridor in Borno State.
Security analyst Zagazola Makama revealed on his X (Twitter) handle that the operation was guided by intelligence following an earlier clash on August 7, where several insurgents were neutralized.
After closely monitoring the movement of fleeing fighters, troops stormed a suspected hideout believed to be used by the terrorists for storing weapons. The raid led to the successful recovery of rifles and ammunition believed to be part of the insurgents’ hidden stockpile.
Military leaders have since commended the gallant soldiers and CJTF operatives, urging continued reliance on community intelligence and collaboration to sustain pressure against terrorists and restore lasting peace in the North-East.
