The National Chairman of the Third Phase Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), Gen. Elaye ThankGod Dollar Slaboh, has strongly refuted the recent allegations circulating against Government Ekpemupolo (Tompolo) and Dennis Otuaro, describing them as false, politically motivated, and sponsored by enemies of the Niger Delta region.

Speaking in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, Gen. Elaye Dollar condemned the purported claims of human rights abuses, illegal detention, and ritual killings allegedly linked to Otuaro and Tompolo, saying such stories are the handiwork of desperate individuals seeking to destabilize the peace currently enjoyed in the region.

According to him, those orchestrating this campaign of blackmail are not from the Niger Delta and have no understanding of the struggles, sacrifices, and peacebuilding efforts that have brought lasting stability to the region.

Those carrying out this act are not from the Niger Delta region. They are enemies of progress who are not happy that peace has finally returned to our communities,” Gen. Elaye stated.
“Their aim is to sow confusion, discredit credible leaders, and mislead President Bola Ahmed Tinubu into distrusting his loyal appointees.”

He further cautioned President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and relevant security agencies to be alert and not to fall for the manipulations of political saboteurs whose goal is to create unnecessary tension between the Federal Government and the people of the Niger Delta.

President Tinubu should be mindful of such desperate individuals. The Niger Delta today is one of the most peaceful regions in Nigeria, thanks to the tireless efforts of leaders like Tompolo and Dennis Otuaro, who have remained committed to the Renewed Hope Agenda,” he added.

Gen. Elaye emphasized that leaders like Tompolo and Otuaro must be carefully and beautifully protected, as they have played significant roles in maintaining peace, boosting national oil production, and fostering development in the Niger Delta region.

These are men who sacrificed everything for the peace and stability we enjoy today. Instead of dragging their names into falsehood, we should be protecting and appreciating their contributions,” he said.

From investigation, Gen. Elaye disclosed that when some of the protesters were questioned on why they were demonstrating, they confessed that they were paid to do so.
He described this revelation as a clear sign of how desperate and unpatriotic certain individuals have become in their bid to destroy the integrity of respected Niger Delta leaders.

This alone has shown how desperate some people are. I am calling on the security personnel to thoroughly investigate this matter and bring those involved to book,” Gen. Elaye urged.

The amnesty leader reaffirmed the Third Phase Presidential Amnesty Programme’s commitment to unity, empowerment, and sustainable peace, urging youths across the region to ignore divisive propaganda and focus on development.

We will not allow blackmailers to drag our names and our region into their political propaganda. We stand firmly with peace, unity, and progress under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” Gen. Elaye concluded.
