In a horrifying and deeply unsettling incident, a gang of ritualists and human parts sellers has been apprehended in Eziagulu Otu, a community in Anambra East Local Government Area, for the brutal murder and dismemberment of a young man, identified as Mr. Samuel, a native of Ivite Aguleri.
The breakthrough came after the Udo Ga-Achi security team, a local vigilante group, launched an operation that led to the arrest of multiple suspects involved in the gruesome act. According to confessions made during interrogation, the criminal ring, led by Chief Chinaka Udealor (still at large), lured Samuel—a commercial motorcycle rider—to his death under false pretenses.
He called him to drink… and killed him”One of the arrested suspects, Mr. Ifeanyi Ogbanje, narrated the chilling details: Marcel Bad called Samuel around 8 p.m., telling him that Chinaka was around and that he should come and join where we were drinking. Samuel rushed to Chinaka’s house. As he entered, we held him down, and Chinaka stabbed him.
I shot him in the head.”Ifeanyi further confessed that after Samuel was killed, Chinaka cut off his limbs, and they dumped his corpse into a nearby river. Shockingly, he admitted receiving ₦40,000 for his part in the crime, which he used to buy fertilizer.Another suspect, Mr. Emeka Ekwealor, corroborated the confession, stating that the body parts were sold to a native doctor for ritual purposes.Crime Scene ConfirmedThe suspects led the security team to Chinaka’s parlour, the scene of the grisly murder.
Bloodstains and signs of struggle reportedly supported the confession. The Udo Ga-Achi team has since launched a manhunt for Chief Chinaka, who is on the run and believed to be the mastermind of the human parts syndicate.
