NIGER DELTA LEADERS EMPOWERED FOR PEACE.
Comrade Elaye Slabor Dollar, National Chairman of the 3rd Phase Presidential Amnesty Programme and Tantita Security Service Bayelsa State Chapter, hails the Magnificent Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), Dr. Dennis Burutu Otuaro, for launching a groundbreaking initiative to promote peace and leadership in the Niger Delta region.
The PAP has partnered with the Nigerian Army Resource Centre to provide a 3-day training program for Phase 1 leaders of the amnesty program, a truly record-breaking move. This initiative showcases the reliability and impact of Dr. Otuaro’s regime, building on previous successes like scholarships and now focusing on leadership training for the first phase leaders.
The major key focus areas of this training include: Leadership ethics and responsibility-
Conflict prevention and grassroots mediation- Peace-driven community engagement
This new approach marks a significant shift towards sustainable peace through knowledge empowerment, equipping community leaders with critical skills in conflict resolution, responsible governance, and peace enforcement.
Comrade Elaye Slabor Dollar expressed delight with this new approach, describing it as a groundbreaking record by Dr. Dennis Burutu Otuaro for all the leaders of the Presidential Amnesty Programme. He stated that what Dr. Otuaro has done is transformational and lasting peace is built by empowering people to lead with wisdom, not weapons.
He applauded the Administrator for this initiative, which will potentially bring about lasting change in the Niger Delta region.With this transformation, the amiable Administrator will calm tensions within the beneficiary communities in the Niger Delta , and he is confident that this leadership training will be followed by others.
