Members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State on Monday staged a protest at the Lagos State House of Assembly complex, calling for the immediate removal of the party’s state chairman, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi.
The protesters, made up of party loyalists from across local government areas, accused Ojelabi of mismanaging the party’s affairs, sidelining grassroots members, and failing to unite the APC family in Lagos.Carrying placards with inscriptions such as “Ojelabi Must Go” and “We Want Change in Lagos APC the group urged the national leadership of the party to take urgent action to rescue the Lagos chapter from crisis.
Security operatives were deployed to the scene to ensure the protest remained peaceful.This latest development signals growing internal discontent within the party, just as preparations for future elections begin to take shape.
