The National Congress of the Third Phase of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) held in Yenagoa turned historic as leaders, beneficiaries, and critical stakeholders unanimously passed a vote of confidence on their National Chairman, General Elaye ThankGod Dollar Slaboh, reaffirming his mandate to continue steering the affairs of the Third Phase.
In the same Congress, General Slaboh officially unveiled a grassroots support group for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 elections, describing it as a strategic step towards consolidating the unity and direction of ex-agitators and PAP beneficiaries nationwide.
Speaking during the event, the National Chairman emphasized the importance of loyalty and collective commitment to peace, progress, and sustainable empowerment in the Niger Delta. He declared:
> “Leaders, beneficiaries, and critical stakeholders of the Presidential Amnesty Programme know where we stand. Tompolo is our leader and father. Wherever he is, that is where we will be. That is why we, as leaders and beneficiaries, have resolved to support President Tinubu through our leader and father.”
The Congress was marked by massive turnout, reflecting overwhelming support for General Slaboh’s leadership and the broader vision of aligning with national leadership while maintaining loyalty to High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, alias Tompolo, who remains a rallying point of stability, peace, and development for the Niger Delta.
The unveiling of the support group is expected to strengthen grassroots mobilization and foster deeper collaboration between the Amnesty beneficiaries and the federal government as the nation looks towards the 2027 general elections.
