My attention has been drawn to a false and malicious statement aimed at linking me—Gen. Elaye Dollar Slaboh—with alleged threats against delegates of the Presidential Amnesty Programme regarding a planned protest. I categorically refute these baseless and defamatory allegations.Let it be clearly stated: I am a law-abiding citizen of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. I have never, at any time, threatened or incited violence against any beneficiary of the Amnesty Programme. These false accusations are a deliberate attempt to distract the public and discredit my person and the office I occupy.I am using this opportunity to call on security agencies to thoroughly investigate the individual behind these defamatory claims. He is intentionally dragging my name through the mud in an effort to undermine what I stand for and the peace we have worked hard to maintain.Such reckless statements not only endanger public peace but also aim to derail the objectives of the Amnesty Programme. I remain committed to the unity, progress, and welfare of all genuine beneficiaries.
Signed,Gen. Elaye Dollar Slaboh National Chairman, Third Phase Presidential Amnesty Programme.
