The National Chairman of the Third Phase Presidential Amnesty Programme, General Elaye Dollar Slaboh, has called on all camp leaders and beneficiaries to remain calm and united amid the ongoing reforms in the programme.
General Slaboh stated that the current Amnesty Administrator is working tirelessly to overhaul the programme for the benefit of ex-agitators and the Niger Delta region. He alleged that those opposing the ongoing financial investigation are behind calls for the EFCC and other agencies to disrupt the process through protests and distractions.
He urged the Administrator not to be deterred by these actions, emphasizing that such individuals are enemies of the programme and the region.
“Very soon, both beneficiaries and generals will smile due to the transformation that is coming,” Slaboh assured.
In a related statement, Dr. Dennis Brutu Atuaro affirmed that the new Amnesty Board will not operate as it did in the past. He emphasized that looting and personal enrichment at the expense of the system will no longer be tolerated.
“I urge everyone to remain calm and support the reform process,” Slaboh concluded.
