The fight against land grabbing in Rivers State has taken a bold turn as General Asabuja, popularly known as “The Voice To The Voiceless”, has vowed to stand firm with the people in defending their ancestral lands.
Speaking passionately, General Asabuja condemned the activities of land grabbers who, according to him, have continued to terrorize communities such as Obio-Akpor, Etche, and others across Rivers State and beyond.
He emphasized that land grabbing is not only an assault on the people but also a direct attempt to steal their heritage and future.
> “We, the people of Rivers State and Nigeria, will not stand idly by while land grabbers steal our heritage. I vow to work with security agencies, cooperate with Government, chiefs, kings, and all who stand for justice to end this tyranny,” Asabuja said.
General Asabuja further reminded the Nigeria Police Force of the public directive by the Inspector General of Police (IGP), urging officers to stay away from civil land disputes. He insisted that the police must resist being used as tools by criminal elements involved in illegal land deals.
He declared that the struggle will not end until every stolen plot is returned to its rightful owners and every land grabber is brought before the law.
This fiery stance has sparked widespread reactions from community stakeholders and residents, many of whom believe that the time has come for united action against the menace.
