Frontnaija News reports that EFCC Chairman, Ola Olukoyede, was sighted at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Thursday during President Bola Tinubu’s closed-door meeting with Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (retd.), the immediate past Sole Administrator of Rivers State.
Ibas, who governed Rivers State under emergency rule between March and September 2025, managed over ₦254.37 billion from FAAC but is now under fire for allegedly leaving behind no major infrastructural legacy.
The Rivers State House of Assembly, led by Speaker Martin Amaewhule, has already moved to probe how funds were spent during the emergency period. Sources say the Assembly wants to trace every kobo of the huge allocation.
Also spotted at the Villa was Wale Edun, Minister of Finance, sparking fresh speculation that the presidency may have quietly begun its own review of Rivers’ finances under Ibas.
