The boxing world is heating up as Congolese heavyweight sensation Martin Bakole has boldly declared that he would knock out British-Nigerian star Anthony Joshua if they clash in the ring in Nigeria.
Speaking with confidence, Bakole insisted that he is ready to silence Joshua on his home soil, boasting that he would do it “in front of his own people” if the much-anticipated bout happens.
This comes as reports indicate that Joshua is being lined up for a comeback fight in Nigeria early next year, following his devastating loss to Daniel Dubois in a world heavyweight title showdown. The fight, if confirmed, would be Joshua’s first professional bout on Nigerian soil — an emotional return to his roots that many fans have been clamoring for.
Bakole, however, has other plans. Known for his aggressive fighting style and knockout power, the Congolese warrior believes Joshua’s best days are behind him and has vowed to use a Nigerian fight as the perfect stage to announce himself as Africa’s true heavyweight king.
Boxing analysts see the clash as more than just a fight — it would be a battle for pride, dominance, and continental bragging rights between two African-born heavyweights.
