The National Chairman of the Third Phase Presidential Amnesty Programme, General Elaye ThankGod Dollar Slaboh, has congratulated High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, on his conferment of an Honorary Doctorate of Laws (LLD) Degree by Edwin Clark University, Kiagbodo, Delta State.
The distinguished honour, awarded during the university’s 4th–7th combined convocation ceremonies, recognizes Tompolo’s immense contributions to peacebuilding, educational development, and humanitarian service in the Niger Delta and beyond.
General Elaye Dollar described the award as highly deserving, noting that Tompolo has consistently demonstrated uncommon commitment to peace, stability, and community upliftment. He emphasized that Tompolo’s influence in sustaining peace—through dialogue, community consultation, and non-violent conflict resolution—continues to strengthen security and economic growth in the region.
He further highlighted Tompolo’s deep compassion, philanthropy, and dedication to youth empowerment, citing his numerous educational donations and infrastructural support to institutions within and outside the Niger Delta.
According to General Elaye Dollar:
Tompolo’s generosity, good heart, and genuine love for humanity set him apart as a leader of unique and rare character.”
He commended Edwin Clark University for honouring a man whose impact is deeply felt across communities, urging other institutions to emulate such recognition of individuals transforming society through selfless service.
The Third Phase National Chairman also prayed for God’s continuous guidance, strength, and long life for High Chief Government Ekpemupolo as he continues to serve the Niger Delta and Nigeria with wisdom and integrity.
