As scrutiny continues around Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, Nigerians must not forget the remarkable achievements the company has recorded in protecting the nation’s oil assets and stabilizing the Niger Delta.
Since the Federal Government awarded the pipeline surveillance contract under the leadership of High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, Tantita has delivered measurable results that directly benefit Nigeria’s economy and security.
Some of the major achievements of Tantita Security Services include:

✅ Massive Reduction in Crude Oil Theft: Nigeria witnessed a drastic drop in oil theft and pipeline vandalism, which for years crippled the nation’s oil production.
✅ Recovery of Nigeria’s Oil Production: With improved surveillance and protection of pipelines, Nigeria’s crude oil output significantly rebounded, helping the country regain lost revenue.
✅ Discovery and Destruction of Illegal Refineries: Tantita operatives uncovered and dismantled hundreds of illegal refining sites and illegal oil connections across the Niger Delta creeks.

✅ Protection of Critical Oil Infrastructure: Major pipelines and oil facilities that were once constant targets of vandals are now better secured.
✅ Economic Impact for Nigeria: The reduction in oil theft has helped Nigeria recover billions of dollars that were previously lost to criminal networks.
✅ Job Creation for Niger Delta Youths: Thousands of youths across the region have been engaged through Tantita’s community-based surveillance structure, reducing crime and restiveness.

Regulatory bodies such as the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission and the Nigeria Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative have also acknowledged the significant improvement in oil theft reduction and production recovery.

At a time when these achievements are visible, it is important to note that many of those raising unfounded allegations against Tantita do not mean well for Nigeria. Attempts to discredit a system that is already delivering results could undermine the progress Nigeria has made in securing its oil sector.

General Elaye ThankGod Dollar Slaboh and his national leadership team therefore urge the Federal Government to tread carefully and protect the gains already recorded. Decisions concerning Tantita must be guided by facts, national interest, and the economic stability of the country.

Nigeria must not destroy a working solution in the fight against oil theft.
