The first edition of the long-awaited leadership training has officially kick-started, and for this, we extend our deepest appreciation to the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), Dr. Dennis Brutu Otuaro, for making this vision a reality. His tireless commitment to capacity building and youth development has been demonstrated once again by this remarkable initiative, which sets the tone for a better and more purposeful leadership within the Amnesty framework.
Dr. Otuaro’s dedication to empowering ex-agitators through meaningful programs like this leadership training cannot be overemphasized. By initiating and executing this important event, he has sown seeds that will yield transformational leaders who will impact the Niger Delta and beyond. His leadership continues to speak volumes, even without a microphone.
We also use this medium to express heartfelt gratitude for the various achievements being experienced by the beneficiaries of the Presidential Amnesty Programme. From interventions in welfare, education, skills training, and engagement, it is clear that the programme under Dr. Otuaro’s administration is finally being repositioned to fulfill its original mandate of peace and empowerment.
We, the leadership of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) Third Phase, under the leadership of General Elaye “ThankGod Dollar” Slaboh, say a resounding “Thank You” to Dr. Dennis Brutu Otuaro for making this dream come to pass. General Elaye, as the National Chairman, speaks on behalf of all third-phase stakeholders, acknowledging the bold, compassionate, and focused leadership Dr. Otuaro has shown within this short period.
Your inclusive approach has given hope and revived confidence among beneficiaries across all the phases. Dr. Otuaro, your open-door policy and readiness to engage with genuine leadership like General Elaye Slaboh have built bridges that were once broken. We appreciate the respect and recognition you have consistently shown to all phases of the Amnesty Programme, ensuring no one is left behind. We stand by you, just as you have stood by us.
We, the leadership, pledge our continuous loyalty and support to you. As you stand with us, we will stand with you—shoulder to shoulder—toward the success of the Amnesty Programme and peace in the Niger Delta. Your leadership is an inspiration and your commitment is our motivation.
Indeed, your leadership has brought renewed joy and happiness across the Niger Delta. In just a short time, you have brought visible results: the payment of scholarships, the near commencement of vocational training, empowerment programs that are about to kick off, and the resolution of many BVN-related issues that had previously discouraged beneficiaries. Joy is now visible on the faces of those who once felt forgotten. These actions have written your name with a golden pen in the history of the Niger Delta and the PAP.
We also thank all beneficiaries of the program for their calmness, understanding, and patience. It is this maturity that is giving room for impactful transformation. With the leadership of Dr. Dennis Otuaro, the PAP is set to experience full transformation that will benefit not only individual beneficiaries but the Niger Delta region at large.
