In a significant push to strengthen peace and leadership capacity in the Niger Delta, the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), Dr Dennis Brutu Otuaro, today presented certificates of participation to 40 stakeholders who successfully completed a rigorous three-day training programme.
The intensive session, themed Leadership, Alternative Dispute Resolution and Mediation, was organised by the PAP Office in partnership with the Nigerian Army Resource Centre (NARC), Abuja.
The initiative reflects Dr Otuaro’s unwavering commitment to driving the peace-building process in the region while aligning with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda for peace, security, and development in the Niger Delta.
Following the closing ceremony, Dr Otuaro hosted the participants to a warm reception at the PAP headquarters in Abuja, reinforcing the administration’s inclusive and people-focused leadership style.
Meanwhile, General Elaye Dollar Slaboh, National Chairman of the Third Phase PAP, congratulated the participants and hailed Otuaro’s leadership, describing it as “visionary, inclusive, and timely.”
“This is a clear demonstration of strategic leadership aimed at building peace from within. Otuaro is setting a standard,” Slaboh stated.
Slaboh also called on all delegates of the Amnesty Programme to rally behind Dr Otuaro’s transformative agenda, stressing that collective support is key to sustaining peace and unlocking the full potential of the Niger Delta.
