A Clarification on the Misleading Claims Circulating From Jude Gbaboyor
The leadership of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) wishes to address the unnecessary confusion being pushed into the public space by Mr. Jude Gbaboyor, whose recent conduct once again shows a pattern of deliberate falsehood and attention-seeking behaviour.
In the interest of peace, truth, and the integrity of the Programme, this clarification has become necessary.
1. Gbaboyor’s Claims Lack Credibility and Substance
Niger Deltans are already familiar with the disruptive tendencies of Mr. Jude Gbaboyor. His latest accusations against the Administrator of PAP, Dr. Dennis Otuaro, follow the same predictable script:
wild allegations,
unfounded stories,
and attempts to drag respected individuals into his personal frustration.
These claims have no factual basis and should not be taken seriously by any right-thinking member of the public.
2. His Grievances Are Personal, Not Institutional
It is important to understand that Jude’s attack on Dr. Otuaro did not start until his attempt to secure reinstatement into the Programme failed.
When it became clear that PAP would not compromise its standards or overlook past misconduct, Jude resorted to fabricating stories simply to tarnish the image of those upholding the rules.
3. Hiding Behind Foreign Borders to Spread Falsehood is Cowardly
Instead of responding to lawful invitations by Nigerian authorities, Jude chose to flee the country and now issues statements from abroad, hoping distance will shield him from accountability.
A man who cannot defend his allegations before competent authorities cannot be taken seriously by the Niger Delta community.
4. False Claims Will Not Distract From the Good Work of Dr. Otuaro
Under the leadership of Dr. Dennis Otuaro, the PAP has:
maintained stability,
improved engagement with ex-agitators,
strengthened the scholarship and empowerment structure,
and restored respect to the Programme.
His leadership continues to enjoy the support of genuine stakeholders across the region.
We appreciate his calm, inclusive, and progressive approach. His consistency and transparent administration remain a strong backbone for peace in the region.
5. The Niger Delta Will Not Be Misled by One Man’s False Agenda
We therefore urge the public to disregard Jude’s theatrics.
His intention is clear — to drag attention to himself by attacking a system that refused to reward indiscipline.
His behaviour does not reflect the values of the Niger Delta, nor does it represent the views of beneficiaries working for peace and progress.
