As the month of June begins, the National Chairman of the Third Phase Presidential Amnesty Programme, General Elaye Dollar Slaboh, on behalf of his executive council, extends warm and heartfelt wishes to all delegates and beneficiaries of the Programme. In his new month message, Gen. Slaboh commended the resilience, discipline, and unwavering commitment of ex-agitators, camp leaders, and beneficiaries. He urged them to remain steadfast in their support for the ongoing transformation under the leadership of Dr. Dennis Otuaro, the Interim Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP).> “Dr. Otuaro’s administration has injected fresh energy into the Programme. Through dynamic reforms and innovative ideas, he has repositioned the Amnesty Programme on a progressive path,” Gen. Slaboh stated. He emphasized the need for unity, focus, and loyalty among members of the amnesty community and cautioned against being swayed by individuals who thrive on blackmail, misinformation, and divisive narratives.> “Blackmail may offer short-term gains, but it is ultimately a destroyer of destiny. I urge our beneficiaries to be wary of these elements who, lacking a legitimate means of livelihood, resort to acts that undermine the Programme and its leadership,” he warned.Gen. Slaboh further called for an end to the pull-him-down syndrome, describing it as a ‘kakaworm’ that has eaten deep into the fabric of the Niger Delta.> “We must do away with the pull-him-down syndrome that continues to hinder our collective progress. It is a destructive kakaworm that has eaten deep into our region. The time has come for us to stand together—because only through unity and shared purpose can we build the Niger Delta of our dreams,” he emphasized. He reaffirmed his commitment to peace, empowerment, and sustainable development of ex-agitators under the Third Phase and called for continued cooperation to ensure lasting progress in the region.> “Whatever you put your hand to do will be successful, as we await the good packages prepared for us by our amicable and visionary administrator, Dr. Dennis Otuaro,” Gen. Slaboh concluded.
